Rockstar Academy Cheerleading Shines at the Cheerleading Japan Open Championship 2025

Tokyo, Japan – February 23-24, 2025 – The RockStar Academy Cheerleading Team has once again proved that dedication and team spirit are the keys to success! 

At the highly anticipated Cheerleading Japan Open Championship (CJOC) 2025, RockStar Academy’s cheerleaders competed against top-tier teams from around the world, showcasing their skill, resilience, and passion. 

The competition, which took place on February 23-24, saw RockStar Academy’s teams achieve remarkable results, solidifying their place as some of the best cheerleaders globally.

Rockstar himself was chosen to represent Indonesia because he was the winner of the National Championship in Indonesia in 2024. The representative teams are Galaxy, Shooting Star, Universe, Unicorn, Twilight and WAW.

Celebrating Our Achievements!

RockStar Academy is thrilled to announce the incredible results of our talented teams at the CJOC 2025. Their hard work, commitment, and teamwork paid off, as evidenced by the following podium finishes:

• Universe (@universe.cheers) – 3rd Place in the Junior 2 category (ages 12-15)
• Galaxy (@galaxycheers) & Shooting Stars (@shootingstars.cheerleading) – 2nd Place in the Junior 1 category (ages 9-12)
• Twilight (@twilight.cheerleading) – 2nd Place in the Elementary School Lower Grade category

The road to the CJOC 2025 was paved with rigorous training and unwavering commitment. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, the team engaged in intensive practice sessions, focusing on perfecting their routines, building strength, and fostering unity. 

This dedication was evident in their performance, which combined intricate stunts, synchronized dance moves, and enthusiastic cheers that captivated the audience.​

Pushing Beyond Limits – A Salute to All Our Teams

While the medals and trophies are a huge accomplishment, what truly stands out is the incredible perseverance, team spirit, and resilience shown by every team. Even though Unicorn (@unicorncheerleading) and WAW (@waw_cheerleading) did not secure a podium finish this time, their performances were nothing short of inspiring. 

Their passion and determination were evident in every routine, and the energy they brought to the competition floor was infectious. Competing on an international stage is no easy feat, and their efforts continue to motivate and inspire both their teammates and supporters alike.

Behind every great team is an even greater group of coaches. We’d like to take this moment to express our gratitude to the incredible individuals who have worked tirelessly to prepare our athletes for the championship. Their guidance and expertise have been pivotal in our success:

Rockstar Academy’s cheerleading program is designed to help athletes of all levels develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and teamwork while having fun.
